Founder & Principal
I’m Chris Carrier, Founder and Principal of First Demand. Before building this practice, I spent nearly two decades inside a leading North American foodservice distributor where I led cuisine segment, seasonal, brand, and product marketing while supporting sales enablement and go-to-market strategy at national, regional, and local levels.
My career in foodservice began in restaurant operations. Starting as a server, I worked my way through FOH and BOH management to General Manager, which means I’ve been on both sides of every conversation my clients are trying to have.
I built First Demand because I witnessed too many great emerging food and beverage brands show up to distributors unprepared. Wrong pricing, wrong materials, wrong sequence. Relationships lost that couldn’t be recovered.
That experience is the foundation of everything First Demand does.
I know what distributors need to see before they decide to carry a brand. I know what operators need to hear before they’ll put it on the menu. First Demand closes that gap.
